Still pregnant
39 weeks and still no Pinto. I guess the whole "second babies come sooner" isn't all that true. I'm heading out to the Dr in a couple hours though and I'm hoping for some progress news... I really want Pinto born in October and we are running out of days :).
I think Maja will do just fine with a baby around... she has her own "babies" and loves to hold them and kiss them and since we put up the baby swing, she's been using it for them to go "night, night" in. One of her Christmas presents was going to be a little stroller but I think she may have to get it a bit sooner.

"The Cow says Moo, the sheep says Baa..."
Maja is getting really good about her animals sounds. She knows that the sheep says "Baa", the duck says "cuac" and the dog says "ruff". We are working on cow but instead of "Moo", she ends up saying "Maa"... hmmm... I wonder if she is trying to tell me something....

Pinto update
At almost 38 weeks there are no signs of Pinto coming out anytime soon but then again my Dr will be out of town next weekend and odds are s/he decides it's the best time to come out and mess with Mommy having to deal with some stranger. Let's hope not!
While we are waiting, I've finally gotten to pulling out all of our newborn/small baby clothes to see what we have and still need. Turns out we are pretty set for the first 3 months or so regardless of gender. We have plenty of gender neutral outfits as well as some for boy and some for girl plus a bunch of warm buntings for the cold Wisconsin winter. Here's a picture of the clothes all together waiting to be put away:
if Pinto is a boy, he will be sporting this spiffy outfit:

I also packed Pinto's coming home outfits but here are some pics of what he or she will be wearing...
If it's a girl, we have this adorable outfit purchased by my sister while we were in Spain:

Do you remember Maja's coming home blanket??? It's embroidered with her name
Well, we also have one for Pinto but since we don't know what it is, I ordered one for each gender with our choice of name for each. Here's a pic... lavender for a girl and green for a boy (and no, you can't see the names on them so blowing them up to sneak won't help :) cough, cough grandma, cough cough)
And just cause I think she looks cute...
Pictures on the chair aren't easy to take anymore...
Here she is giving us her best Zombie impression
all done now... taking off
Pumpkin Patch
We got our pumpkins today and even though it was quite chilly, we had a good time. Maja really enjoyed choosing her own!
She started off being more interested in the dirt...
then something caught her attention...
a giant spider!!!!
Look... Pinto made it into the picture too :)
Look Mommy... I found a good one...

It's getting cold
Remember this post last year? well, we have been getting Maja some new things for this winter and here's one of the outfits.... love the hat!! I'll be sure to take a few more of her other ones
What's new with Maja??
Let's see...
- She says "this" a lot... it's more in the context of "like this... it goes like this" when she is playing with her toys and not the pointing at things. It super cute cause she is trying to show you how to do things now
- She also has her own version of "where is it?". She throws her hand up in the air and says "is it?" with the most adorable questioning tone ever and she loves to play with her wipes/towels/whatever piece of cloth she can get her end on and cover her toys or herself and then she'll come around and ask you "is it?", "is it?"
- Speaking of playing with random cloth items... she loves to put them down on the floor, lay on it and go "night, night" (she'll say that too). Or she will open her books (she has a few where the kids in it go to bed) and she will cover the kids with her wipe and say "night, night"
- She loves to stomp her feet around the house and if you join her along, she gets all geeky
- she loves to play with Kosmo, chase him around the house and share whatever snack she is eating. I think it's kinda gross but what can you do?
- she is getting really good at putting her socks on. She can manage to put her toes in :)
- she is finally able to fall asleep on her own but for whatever reason only standing up in the corner of her crib. If I try to go in and lay her down, she will wake up and stand back up..

35/35 Pinto update
35 weeks down and 35 days to go today!!!
Pinto is doing well as always and super active compared to how Maja was. I think it's hilarious that when I cuddle up with her, Pinto starts going nuts in there as if saying "get off my Mommy". I swear that kid is trying to kick Maja off me... we are in for a fun few years huh?
I'm hoping to schedule a 3D ultrasound sometime soon so we will have new pictures to share.
Oh and by the way... wanna help us pick a middle name for a girl??? we still have nothing so feel free to share your favorites, maybe something will flow nicely with our choice for first name.
