Dear A,
Such ridiculous comments are actually funny... the way you felt entitled to "express" your opinion is once again showing your cowardliness and extreme ignorance. Using someone's blog to "stalk" another person is a new low for you. Congratulations!
Please refrain from using my name in the future (especially with such erroneous information attached) unless you are willing to directly confront me about it. My email is aga10101@hotmail.com in case you "misplaced" it again.
Thanks!

I'm calling it
I think it's safe to officially call this... Maja can say "Mamamama" and "Dadadada" and ocasionally just "Mama" and "Dada" and what's most important, she directs it at the right person. It's the most precious sound in the world!

All is right in the world
Maja's coming home blanket has been recovered. We stopped by one of the stores we thought we may have lost it at and they had it there, waiting to be claimed!!
Now, off to wash it and stick it in her crib where it will never be taken out of again... ever!

Pinto update
I guess I should include #2 in this blog too, huh??
So far no Dr updates... we go in next week but I've been feeling extremely tired lately. I don't remember it being like that with Maja. I worked with Liam and Chloe up until the 8th month and I remember having way more energy although I'm still breastfeeding so that's probably taking a huge toll on my body as well.
I'm also nauseous more often and again I'm not able to eat bacon :(. Oh well... I don't need to put on another 50lbs so maybe that's good... and by the way, I lost 46 out of those 50 before #2 got in the picture. Yay!
The worst part of it is that my "delicate" stomach issues have made me take a break from cloth diapers :(. Because Maja started eating some solids, we can't just throw them in the washer without "dealing" with them anymore and they don't call it "peanut-butter" stage for nothing. So after using disposables on our trip I decided to stick with them until I can manage to clean diapers without loosing my breakfast.
Oh, and my early prediction is "boy"... Jeff is convinced it's another girl. I wonder who is right :)

A month of firsts
In addition to the below mentioned tooth, Maja has had quite a few other "firsts" this month:
- Foods- we tried avocado, strawberries, cauliflower, bread, zucchini, cheese and yogurt
- She tried drinking from a sippy and a straw and she knew how to do both on the first try. Genius kid, I tell you!
- first boo-boo that left a mark :(. Continuing her falling-flat-on-her-face routine, she fell on a toy and had a bit of a black eye for a few days

- She started waving on the plane to Seattle. She was so happy with all of the attention :)
- first time on the swings... we tried it in Seattle but she wasn't too impressed. The second time back home was much better though

Ok, I knew I should have made a list before writing this post, I'm sure there is more so I'll think about it tonight and update tomorrow... plus I'll have pics too!!

Houston, we have a tooth!
Yay!!! we found one on the bottom today... not sure when it came out since it's been a couple of days but it's there. Big and sharp! I'll try to snap a picture but don't hold your breath... I don't think it will be easy :)

Little change of plans so we are now hanging out in Seattle for a few days. Maja got to meet her cousin Ollie last night. Click here for pics.
Oh and she can wave now! it's the cutest thing in the world.... she waves to the phone when we are talking to Daddy in the evenings.

Gues what Maja can do??
For the last couple of weeks she has been doing something with her hands that made us think she is trying to clap. It's kind of weird looking because she's almost brushing one hand against the other but clapping was the only thing that came to mind.
Well this morning it hit us... she is doing "round and round" as in "The wheels on the bus go...". That's her favorite song! and when we started singing she did it for us! Too bad the video camera was packed up already!

Well... no pics for another two weeks I guess
I really wanted to download some of the camera before we left but it looks like it's not going to happen.... I can't find the cord :(. So, no pics until we come back from our trip since we are leaving tomorrow to spend the night in Milwaukee because our flight leaves at 7am on Sunday.
I'll see some of you in a couple of days :)

Ultrasound today
The nurse had us come in to take a peek and determine a due date. It's officially November 5th. But since it's still so early we couldn't see the heartbeat... we just saw a little "blob". Nothing to be alarmed about.. totally normal at this stage but we could always use any spare thoughts you got so we find a healthy and strong beat when we go in after Maja and I get back into town.

Maja loves food
This week she had some carrots and sweet potatoes and she loved both. We also let her have a teething biscuit today and I think that was her favorite part. I'll upload some pictures later because you have got to see the mess on her face :).
She is also getting really good at eating puffs... the other day she was able to pick them up and put them in her mouth for the first time. The girl has an incredible hand-eye coordination.

I think we lost Maja's "coming home" blanket
I'm so upset over this... I can't believe it could be gone. I've searched everywhere and last time I saw it was when we were out.
We bought this soon after we found out we were having a girl and it has her name embroidered.
I just want to cry :(

I sure deserve the "Mother of the year" award!!
A couple of nights ago I was getting Maja's bath ready and I left her on the floor in the bathroom while I went to get her PJ's and diaper... well she scooted herself forward and fell and hit her head in the door. Ouch!!! Poor baby was so upset and it just about gave me heart attack seeing her laying down screaming cause her head was at a weird angle and I thought something happened to her neck.
Well, this morning she was sitting on her bedroom floor and fell flat on her face with her hands stuck underneath her so she couldn't pull herself up. She was sooo upset and I don't blame her cause that rug is not the softest one to fall on!
At least there is no mark from either fall but boy do I feel like a great Mom!!! Ugh!!

The butt shuffle
A while back I blogged about Maja's "upside down inchworm" way of moving around the room... well she has now started doing the "butt shuffle". You leave her sitting in one places and she scoots herself somewhere else. It's adorable and we need to get better at pulling the video camera out!
She loves to stand!

7 things @ 7 months!!
Our little monster turned 7 months old today so here are a few things about her at this age:
1. She has suddenly become Miss Personality... she is constantly giggling, squealing and trying to get someone's attention. She is such a joy to be around. We are loving this stage.
2. We went from sleeping 15+ hours per night down to about 11 but that's still pretty good. Lately she has been getting up several times to eat but I hope that doesn't last too long.
3. She also started sleeping on her side... many times she just turns her head up and to the side and at some point ends up all the way against the bumper. I think it gives her comfort feeling something against her face.
4. We gave her some avocado which she loves and we also tried puffs. She actually did very well with them considering they are a big chunk of "solid" but she isn't so fond of them. That isn't so bad cause those things are so delicious, Mommy and Daddy end up with a few.... "one for baby, three for Mommy, one for baby, three for Daddy" :)
5. She can pull up to standing. We don't really have many things around the house that help with that but she always find something anyway so we have to watch her closely
6. She has a "word" (sound I guess) that she says/makes when she wants to nurse... she will also do it when one of us signs "nurse" to her. It sounds a lot like the letter "N" with an extra vowel at the end
7. She loves to play with hair when she nurses... sometimes she grabs mine but for the most part she just strokes hers. It's so cute cause I think she figured out my hair is the same thing that's growing out of her head :).
