She was leaning against the couch smiling at me and decided to start clapping... I looked over and sure enough, she was not being supported by anything other then her own legs :)

Pregnancy is a scam!!
I swear my first one was good just because a higher power wanted to make sure I continue to procreate!
When you first find out you're pregnant I think most woman get excited because they get to be period-free for a looong time. Heck, even with breast feeding you could get away without it for much longer.
Well, I got scammed! Not only did it return at 4 months (ok... not the most horrible thing since we wanted another baby) but as of now I have been on the longest "period" ever (5 weeks and counting) and according to my doc, it could potentially last until the end. What???? After this kid is out, I better not see anything for a while or I'll have to have a serious talk with my ovaries!
On top of that, why don't I have the kinky dreams pregnant girls rave about??? I'm stuck dreaming about stupid giant squids attacking an underwater colony and robots looking like people trying to take over the Earth a'la Terminator (and haven't even seen the movie). Huh? yeah, that's how I wake up! Where the heck is that stuff coming from?
And since usually Jeff has these kind of dreams (he is into the sci-fi stuff) he gets all geeky cause he thinks that's cool. Ay!

Oprah's... I mean Maja's favorite things
Her favorite toy is this doll that sings several Polish songs. She gets all giggly and starts dancing and soon as she hears it and if she is holding it, she'll start shaking the heck out of her. In the second picture you can see how she plays "pat-a-cake" with its feet.
Her favorite game is peekaboo. She can't get enough of it and will cover herself or you up if you stop playing with her. It's adorable.
Her favorite thing to say is "Dada" and I haven't heard a "Mama" in the longest time :(
Her favorite activity is copying sounds, especially when we sneeze. I have got to get this on video

A few cute things about Maja
These are just too adorable not to blog about... and if I ever manage to get it on camera, I'll def post:
- She sleeps with her butt up in the air. It hilarious, she looks like she fell asleep half way through a crawl.
- She gets on all fours in the tub and drinks the water like a little puppy
- She picks up "imaginary" things from the floor and puts them in her mouth... at least I can never see her picking anything real

Happy Mother's Day to me and all the other Mommies out there!
Our little "stinker bottom" (My new nickname for her. No, I will not elaborate. yes, you are probably speculating in the right direction!) is the best daughter I could have ever hoped for! I still don't understand how such an awesome little being came out of Jeff and me but I'm so grateful to have her in our lives. I love being her Mommy!

9 months stats

All is well but we have the weirdest little girl ever... the minute the Dr came into the room she lost it! Just freaked out and didn't stop until we left the room. Then we walked over to the lab so they could take a blood sample from her finger and she didn't even move when she was poked. As the nurse continued squeezing to get more blood, Maja just sat there looking around as if nothing was happening.

New foods
We found out today that Maja loves hot dogs! she couldn't get enough and even gave green been a side eye which until now I thought were high up there on her "fave" list. Then she had a pear and boy, oh boy, Daddy could barely keep up cutting it into pieces. I guess all the swimming today made her really hungry :)

Dinner time
This is what Maja and Kosmo do when Mommy and Daddy are getting dinner ready

9 things about Maja @ 9 months
1. She is a crawler!!!! She started today, of all days, and has already shown us what needs to be childproofed :).
2. One of her favorite toys is the gumball machine. She recently figured out how to put the balls in and then push the right button to see them come out
3. After months of trying we have finally pushed bedtime to 8pm... Now we can get a full afternoon/evening with happy Maja and she is also awake for dinner time
4. She is really into eating... everything in her sight and so far we determined that the only thing she doesn't like is anything cold... she prefers her food warm and eats veggies like a champ
5. She loves Eskimo kisses! She leans in and giggles
6. She has 4 teeth and so far still handling it really well.
7. Now that she can roll from back to belly, she turned into a belly sleeper and has also learned how to sit up on her own which I think she is really happy about because that makes it easier to stand up too. She knew how to pull up from sitting but since she didn't know how to sit up, she couldn't do it all by herself.
8. "Beating up" Kosmo is her favorite pass time... she pulls on his ears, whacks his head and he just lays there allowing her to do it. It's really cool to see how much they like each other
9. I bet she will be walking on her own any day now. Today she was walking while holding Daddy's hands and she pretty much took of running... Daddy could barely keep up with her.
