Anyway, just wanted to share this since it won't be up on the site for long. Do you see a familiar face?

This kid is weird!

Yesterday she passed out at 4:30pm and just continued sleeping.... she woke up around 11pm to eat and get changed into PJ's and a night time diaper and off she went again.

This is getting ridiculous... it seems like we never get enough time with her! Is there such a thing as too much sleep??

I guess I can't blame her for being tired.... we had a busy day yesterday and she didn't get a chance to take a good nap. This isn't the first time this happened so I should have known.

The 4 monsters

She loves her furry siblings

Why bother cleaning your baby's ears when you have a dog that can do it for you?

Christmas gifts frustration

So I'm sitting here waiting for 3 gifts to be delivered to me and I have no contact with the seller!! I have no idea if she shipped them or not and the worse part is.... 7 kids won't get their presents because of these 3 missing... I mean I can' send something to one sibling and not the other, right? so they are all on hold until things get figured out.

The many faces of Maja

When she wants to, she can be quite funny looking:

Check out the drool hanging off her chin:

She almost looks evil in this one:

and her signature look "Deer in the headlights"

Look who can sit up!

It's her new favorite thing to do... almost tied with standing :)

Drool monster

Should we take a poll on when the first tooth will appear?

Ok, the pic is pretty small here but if you saw it full size, you'd see the drool coming out of her!

Maja meets Santa

Don't you totally see Jeff having those moves for real?

Send your own ElfYourself eCards

"Baby, it's cold outside..."

How cool are those icicles?

Maja's 4 months stats

Height 26.5 inches (waaay out of the charts)
Weight 15 lbs 75%
Head 70%

She is doing great and today she finally pooped after 16 days... her new record :).

For those wondering, she does not have constipation issues. This type of thing is normal in breastfed babies and the lack of poopy diapers sure makes cloth diapering easy :).

Maja and her Christmas hats

She also has a regular Santa hat that she wore for her pictures with the big guy last weekend. As soon as I get around to scanning it, I'll be sure to share :)

2 weeks and no poop!

Tomorrow marks 2 weeks. Or at least as far back as I can tell she hasn't pooped. I honestly don't remember when she pooped before that so technically it could be longer!

She doesn't seem to mind but this is getting ridiculous.

Getting our Christmas tree

Maja all ready to go

Look at all that snow

This kid rocks!

How many babies to you know that actually yell at you for trying to HELP them go to sleep???

We got one! Seriously! She wants nothing to do with any help. If you even attempt to nurse/rock/read/cuddle/whatever she will get mad... all she wants is to be put in bed with her paci, blanket and mobile and off she goes to sleepyland.
If she is really tired, she won't even enjoy tickle time with Daddy while getting changed... she will just fuss until you get her PJ's on and will stop and turn her head to her blankie as soon as you lay her down.

I miss my snuggle-bug! The grass always looks greener on the other side of the fence :(

Love those baby blues!

Yep... she is trying to eat her feet :)

What are the odds of this happening???

Getting 2 dogs, 1 baby and 1 adult with an attention spam shorter then that of said baby; to look at the camera for a picture???

I guess pretty good:

Maja and Chayney

They were born 12 days apart. Grandma had some fun dressing the girls in matching outfits:

Other random photos

Is there anything sweeter then a sleeping baby?

Me and my girl

Love this toothless smile

Maja saying hi to Oliver... he isn't done baking yet but is almost ready. Maja is actually his aunt... how cool?

4 things about Maja at 4 months old

1. She loves to cuddle up to us when falling asleep. All she needs is grab hold of my shirt and turn her face towards me and off she goes to sleepyland. It melts my heart every time!

2. She has finally spent any considerable amount of time awake during a flight. She has been on 10 so far and has always slept right through everything (take off and landing included) but on our way back she decided to be social :). She loved "talking" to Greg and Elizabeth... our "neighbors". They were so nice.

3. She beat her no-poop record by one day... we are on day 11 and still waiting.

4. She loves playing with her feet.. chewing on them included

Back from Seattle/Portland trip

We took almost 1400 photos so this is just a random compilation of the highlights:

1. We got to meet our new niece Chayney. She is 12 days younger then Maja and we thought the difference in size was hilarious. I guess we just have a giant baby!

More on these two cuties later

2. 4 Generations

3. Grandpa got some mad skills

4. Maja was baptized. Little stinker screamed the ENTIRE time... all the way up until we got back to the car!

5. You can't be around Polish people and not take a shot (or 3) of vodka at some point

Bringing in da Funk (aka "off to visit relatives")

So with Aga getting all the fun of waking up for feedings and then I take off for work for ten hours, I have tried to make a point of "taking over" as soon as I get home in the evenings and also for the weekends. Pretty much I clock out from work and then my real career begins. There is a good chance that Aga considers it a double strain on her since now she has her wildebeest of a husband crashing around while he "Takes Care" of the baby.

I have learned more in the last (almost) 4 months with Maja than I have in the last decade in the Nuclear Power Industry. Just a few things I have learned:

-burping is a sport, and if it were an olympic event, I would win a gold

-that no matter what you do to screw her up, your baby still loves you

-however hard the day might be, coming home to a fussy daughter with a poopy diaper is a better therapy than any day spa

-staring at your baby beats staring at the TV... even while she is asleep

-being able to take your daughter in the kitchen to give a cooking lesson and have her hang on to your every word can make you feel like you have found your purpose in life

-Great Beer, Daughter in her #12 Jersey, and the Pack down at Lambeau kicking the snot out of the Bears is the reason God invented football

-the more time I spend around my Daughter, the more I love my Wife

I didn't mean to get all sappy, but having to write about Maja kind of gets me all sentimental. Cynical Jeff will be back later I promise!

The Infamous Poop Story and more fun

Hello everybody, it's Jeff again. Sorry for taking so stinkin' long to write again. I have been hoping to keep this blog a little Maja-centric, so when you only see your Daughter for 3 hours a day and all she does in that time frame is eat and sleep and then yell at you for the bath water being too warm, there isn't a whole lot to write about.

That was then, this is now.

She has gone from being a near catatonic poop factory to getting an identifiable personality and a peculiar like for almost all things Daddy-related. I say "almost all" things because a bottle-wielding Daddy is no match for a boob, but it makes you wonder...

Okay! just kidding!! We do have our cuddle times where she grins at me from around a rubber nipple, but believe me, real boob trumps Daddy every time.

If you have been reading the blog, you will know that the little girl had some issues with her... uhhh... "out box". By the end of those ten days I was feeling a bit like Linus waiting for the Great Pumpkin. We called the Hospital about it and we were told that we should first try sticking a thermometer in her booty and give a twist.

I shall let the full horror of that sink in for just a second.

Now, I don't know how Hitler ran over the top of Poland so easily, but I am pretty sure that if they had come in and said "Your job is to put ze Temperaturmessgerät un ze babies arsch" then there would have been a whole different outcome to that squabble. The Polish folk get angry when told to put stuff anywhere near there kids butt. But it was Doctor's Orders, so Aga determined that I was to do it. All that goes through my head is "I am Maja's role model for what a Man Should Be". So what happens when this "role model" is having to poke objects into her booty? This is a question better left unanswered I tell ya! The only time I did do it, I had to have Aga hold her legs from kicking because my other hand was covering Maja's eyes so she couldn't see that it was me. And the real pisser is that it didn't work! I was expecting a gushing torrent of... stuff to come flying out. So we skipped the rest of that and went straight to prune juice. That stuff is amazing! One half of a tablespoon in her bottle of milk at night and she pooped for the next 36 hours straight, we are not really sure if she stopped. I really think the prune industry is missing out on a great point of advertising; "Will Prevent The Insertion Of Foriegn Objects Into Subjects Less Than One Year Old".

I swear my next post will be cleaner than this, but I had to get this of my chest.

I'm going to cry!

She looks so beautiful... even though she tried eating it! Little stinker!

The bottom of it was made that way to make space for embroidery. We will put Maja's name and baptism date on there and do the same with any future children that are baptized using this gown :). How cool?

Yeah!!

Burpie won! Suck it woobie! I think you can tell which one of use picked what :)

Thanks for playing everyone!

The gown is here!!!! So beautiful

We had it made out of my wedding dress... every little bit of it, including the bonnet :). It turned out better that I could have ever imagined!
