More cute pics
Here she is waking up from her nap this morning. She looks like a big burrito, doesn't she?

What can I say... she likes being warm!

Just when I thought I had it all figured out...
Maja proves me wrong!
I was pretty certain we got some sort of routine going during the day. 30-40 mins nap early morning and then a couple hours of play or errands and she goes down for 3-4 hrs.
So I laid her down today thinking she will be up soon so we can go and that was 2 hours ago!!! I am so tired this morning because she got up at 6:30am but I didn't take a nap with her thinking there isn't enough time since I also had to take a shower.... I guess I should have done that :(.
Oh well... hopefully that doesn't mess with her Halloween photos this afternoon at Picture People.

More about Atlanta
Tuesday came around and it was time to join Liam at school for "Grandparents and Special Friend's Day". Maja and I really enjoyed reading books and getting to know Valentine, the class bunny, among other things.
During the morning, I had a little "worst Mommy of the world" moment... my name tag got stuck to Maja's head which obviously made her freak out and more so when I had to pull it off... poor girl lost quite a bit of hair that came right off with the sticker. I felt so horrible; it's not like she has any to spare and I hurt her on top of it :(.
Late that morning it was time for Nestie Baby Halloween get-together. Several Mommies from a group I belonged to in Atlanta gathered at a local cafe to show off their babies and I couldn't miss it :). It was great to see some old friends and meet a few new faces plus all the kiddos born this summer. Here are some photos from the event:

Noah, Maja, Evie and Colin:

Audrey and Grant's costumes were pretty awesome:

Maja was so exhausted from all the fun that she passed out in the afternoon and slept for hours so we spent the rest of the day around the house.
Our flight back home was Wednesday morning and after getting one last snuggle from Liam and Chloe:

it was time to get to the airport. As usual, that was quite stressful... as it seems to be the norm these days we got delayed coming out of Atlanta. I swear, every single flight I've taken out of there in the last year has been delayed for one reason or another.
Maja didn't seem to mind too much though and after waiting patiently she decided to take a little nap:

This time around I took my car seat on the plane with us and it turned out to be great. If you ever find yourself traveling with an infant seat, ask if the plane is full and if not.. take the seat along with you. It really makes a world of difference being able to put the baby down someplace comfortable for them.

Soon after those photos were taken she drifted off to sleep and even I got to catch a little nap :)
We got to Milwaukee so late that we almost missed our connection to Green Bay. Luckily they held the plane for us and we were able to make it home on time!
We had a great time visiting with everyone and are looking forward to our Seattle/Portland trip over Thanksgiving!

Recap part deux
The other post was getting too long so I decided to break it up a little.
Monday started out a bit more mellow as we took our time to pack up and check out of the hotel in the morning. We then picked Liam up from school early and took him out to lunch and the Aquarium. He was very excited and so were we to have some extra time to hang out with the little guy. Maja seemed to enjoy the trip as well... she showed particular interest in Mommy's favorite... the Beluga Whales:

The rest of the pics are here but the quality isn't the greatest on most of them. We didn't think about adjusting everything from the day before... oh the joys of manual settings right?
Then it was back to the house for a quick nap and of course more photos of Maja and later it was time for Jeff to head back home.
Ron and Shelley had a dinner that evening so I stayed with the kids after their new nanny Margarita went home. I wish I had my camera handy that time because they were so sweet... we were reading books at bedtime and we all lied down on the floor. All three of them paid so much attention to the stories... it was one of the cutest things I've witnessed in a while!
I have to add here that I still got "it"... all 3 were in bed by 8:30pm! :)
Later that night the grown ups entertained themselves playing RockBand 2. What a cool game! Definitively on my Christmas list! I can't believe neither one of the kids woke up with how loud we were being!
Although, after I went to bed Maja did wake up several times that night... not sure what was wrong... she did eat every time so maybe hunger? or maybe the fact that she didn't get much nap time all weekend because she had been dragged along everywhere with us? It was a pretty rough night but she woke up happy as a clam :)
These were the highlights of day #3 in the ATL

We are back!
Time for a little (big) recap of our trip :).
We flew down to Atlanta on Saturday and our little angel did great even though we woke her up at 4:30am and put her straight into the car seat. Luckily she let us put her down at 6pm (2 hours early) the night before so she wasn't as tired in the morning.
The day never stopped being very busy for everyone because as soon as we got to our destination, Maja and Jeff dropped me off to get my hair cut and they went to pick up Liam's birthday cake since Ron and Shelley weren't back in town yet. We barely made it in time for our family photos at Piedmont Park that afternoon.
After that we finally met Ron, Shelley, Liam, Chloe and a few of their family members for dinner at Uncle Julio's in Buckhead (did I mentioned that up until then, we haven't eaten more then a couple granola bars and a bag of chips all day?) Liam was super excited to see us and even Chloe seemed happier to see me then last time :).
Maja continued being a little trooper and took a little nap while we ate although she did have a lovely blowout up her back which ended with her undershirt in the trash! Hmm... first day in disposables and a huge mess.... coincidence? maybe Mommy forgot how to use those already, haha. Then we went to hang out with everyone at their house.
We spent the first two night at a hotel and our awesome sleeper proved herself even better! Each night she fell asleep at Ron&Shelley's and then let us put her in the car seat when we were ready to go, drive to the hotel, get her all the way up into the room and into her crib sleeping right through everything! What have we done to deserve such an amazing baby?
The next day was just as busy as the first one minus the early wake up call (well... Maja did wake up at 5am to eat but went right back to sleep). We started off at the Jumping Bean to celebrate Liam's 4th birthday! He had the coolest white tiger theme ever :)

Later that day we were invited to Aidan M's 4th birthday party. Aidan and Liam are classmates and we had lots of playdates together last year. Here's the birthday boy himself and below Maja is hanging out with his baby brother. Callan is 3 weeks younger then Maja but has some crazy good head control. I hope you took notes baby girl!

In the evening we were back at the house where we watched Liam open a couple of his presents

The day also marked a very big milestone for Maja... she rolled over from belly to back for the first time and has not stopped since... I guess that means no more dreaded tummy time :). Smart girl!

Family photos!
We are off to Atlanta for the weekend to celebrate Liam's 4th birthday and our friend Jody will take some photos of us. Stay tuned to her blog for a sneak peek. She might put it up before we get back into town next week :)

I think we had our 3 months growth spurt
Maja just had a few days where she did nothing but eat, sleep and poop. She would pass out at 6pm instead of her usual 8-8:30pm although she abandoned her sleeping through the night routine in favor of waking up every 3 hours to eat. Poor thing was starving each time too!
Last night she went back to sleeping through so hopefully we are good again until next growth spurt!

I thought that was a cute date :).
We celebrated by going shopping... stay tuned for cute-new-outfit Maja pictures and hot-new-jeans Mommy!

She sleeps like a rock
Last night I decided to move her to our room at midnight. She didn't even notice!
By the time she woke up at 3am she was starving and ate so much and so fast that it took me 20 minutes to get all the burps out (She is miserable if you don't burp her properly)
Yay for heavy sleeping babies :)

by the way...
the outfit below is what she is sleeping in! wrapped loosely in a blanket on a bare mattress... she peed on her sheets the other day and I haven't gotten around to putting it all back on.
See... I really do have to get her out of there! Now I have a semi-valid excuse, right???

Sporting her babylegs
Thank you Karen! Maja loves them... chicken legs and all

For those not familiar with BabyLegs... they are basically legwarmers for babies. Most adorable thing ever... isn't it?

Mommy is not ready for this!!!
Earlier today we run some errands and Maja didn't nap so well so I laid her down in her crib and she fell asleep... I didn't think it was already 7pm and she has been known to go down around 5:30pm for her last nap and never waking up until the morning :(. So now I'm freaking out she could just continue into nighttime. I'm not ready to have her sleep on her own!!!
I'm just too freaked out... our video monitor isn't working and I can't bare the thought of a whole night without being able to see her. I check on her even when she sleeps in our room.... and she is right next to me then :(.
You know Maja... tonight would be a good night to have a few extra wakings so I can move you... please????
Hopefully the fact that she barely ate this evening will make her more hungry over night.
