Girly girls

I actually enjoy dressing them in matching outfit and Maja is abandoning her tomboy ways in favor of pretties in her hair. She loved having the flower in there and she left it alone too :)

More matching cuteness to come... my wonderful sis pretty much revamped their closest with the most adorable outfits :)

Some new pics

Isla is getting to be so fun to photograph and Maja is a pain in the booty... she wants nothing to do with me the minute I pull out the camera... oh well... someday she will change... I hope!

Long time no post

I've been busy though... working on ::drumroll please:: this

What do you do when there's only one swing?

Isla looks so huge next to Maja and yes, that marked first time on the swings for Isla :)

Why does she find this comfortable?

The other night I checked on Maja and this is what I found... her passed out on the floor. She must have been sleeping like that for a couple of hours because I had heard her coming out of bed earlier in the evening but since she never called for me, I assumed she had gone back to bed

Happy 5 months Isla

Cutie pie is 27 inches and 16 lbs 13oz.... I can't believe she is almost half a year. Where has the time gone?

She sure is her Daddy's daughter

Isla inherited Daddy's weak immune system. She catches everything around her and is currently battling a really bad cold :(. She is terribly congested and her fever is up to 103 degrees.
It started off with some runny nose on Friday night but by Saturday evening she was burning up. This afternoon she was doing pretty good and took an almost 3 hour long nap but went down hill again after that.

Hopefully it's over soon.

Here she is taking her nap... she looks so relaxed

I miss her :(

We finally decided to have Isla sleep in her own room. Last night was night #1 and it went fairly well but I ended up bringing her in around 5am.

I loved snuggling with her and more often then not she ended up spending most of the night in bed with us. I nurse laying down on the bed so we'd both just fall asleep and when I woke up, I just let her stay there.

We do have another video monitor for her so it makes it somewhat easier since I can at least look at her anytime I want and it's nice to be able to get my PJs on with the light on in my room again :).

Happy 21 months Maja!!

Maja is finally starting to be interested in talking. She repeats random things and her vocabulary has multiplied in the last month or so. Some of her latest words are:
- Kosmo
- sock
- ball
- snack
- cracker
- truck

Speaking of trucks, the girl is obsessed with them. She will point every single one to you when driving around and it usually goes like this: "truck!, truck!, truck!, truck!..."

The last few months she has been "exploring" her dramatic side... she has mastered the crocodile tears and can go from 0 to 100 and vice versa faster then you can imagine. If this is a preview of her teenage years we are in trouble!

Watching her be a "Mommy" to her babies is amazing... she wraps them in blankets, she nurses them and she so sweet with Isla. She also mimics the games we play so she will try to eat Isla's toes or blow raspberries on her belly. She is also very protective of her and doesn't like it when her friends try to get close to her.

She can jump!! no, really... jump up in the air... she gets pretty high too. Apparently most kids her age can't do that as she gets weird looks every time she does it around someone.

She loves being outside... swing, dump the sandbox out and catch bubbles are some of her most favorite activities. She is pretty good at listening and staying close so she does great on walks too.

She still doesn't know how to say "no" which makes toddlerhood just a little easier for Mom and Dad :).
