Happy 11 months Maja!!!
1. Maja has turned into a very independent and social baby. She ventures out on her own and barely turns to check if I'm still in sight. She loves people and waves to everyone that walks by,
2. Tooth #7 is in. Lower left
3. She is cruising all over the place and has gotten really fast too... she pretty much runs but she won't take any steps on her own yet. She does stand on her own but needs to hold on to one of her walkers to move. She loves to push them around but needs to work on her turning... she gets stuck everywhere :)
4. She is a mad climber. Lately she has been trying to climb on the couch and is a pro going up the stairs. Now we just need to work on how to get down from places that isn't going head first
5. We gave her some chocolate to try and she is not a big fan. She did enjoy licking the brownie batter from the spoon but every sip of chocolate milk ended up on her shirt :(
6. Fruit is by far her most favorite thing to eat. She doesn't seem to discriminate anything... even watermelon which I have to sneak in to her because Daddy can't stand seeing or smelling it.
7. We have a bit of a bully on our hands. Recently she has been smacking her little friends but we are working on "gentle"... I think she is starting to get it and will show me "gentle" if I ask her.
8. She loves water but HATES when it's cold. To play outside, we have to fill her hippo with warm tap water and if we take her to the non-heated pool at the YMCA poor girl will shiver and turn purple within minutes :(. It takes her a while to warm up and feel comfortable if she does at all.
9. Her favorite song is still "The wheels on the bus" and she can do the wheels go round and round, the doors open and shut and the lights blink.
10. She can sign "water" and "more"
11. The Mommyaitis stage seems to be coming to an end. Daddy has been able to do bedtime a few times and she gets super excited to see him in the morning. Every morning I bring her to bed with me to nurse and play and she now looks for Daddy on the other side... that's the first thing she does when I lay her down.
